The tree is a Baobab, (Adansonia digitata) one of the African trees which reach a height of Seventy feet=and sometimes as much as 150 feet in circumference. Baobabs hollow out as a they grow older=are often used as shelters=one even as a pub during the war. their fruit tastes like lemonade when mixed with water their bark gives a man strength=so the natives say=and is used by doctors to cure fever. it is said that the Baobabs are indestructible= so this water closes will probably still be in existence when the present day sanitation methods are prehistoric. it is situated near the house of the Bantu affairs commissioner in the Eastern Capri i Strip.
