To tie in with Rio’s celebration of Mardi Gras, the National Football Museum at Urbis is marked the 100 days leading up to the start of football’s most coveted competition. The start of this countdown promised a day of Brazilian-tinged entertainment to get people in the mood for some football via the medium of a samba band Global Grooves, a Manchester School of Samba workshop, face painting, and John Farnworth-led, Pelé-inspired freestyle performances and workshops.
