More information:

The west and south sides of Lorne Street cotton mill building, sited on Lorne Street in Farnworth, Bolton, Lancashire, viewed across the lower end of Harper Green Playing Fields towards Moses Gate. This was one of many cotton mills to be found in the Moses Gate area of Farnworth. Several of these buildings are still standing following the demise of the north west of England cotton spinning industry in the mid-20th century, but are now largely sub-divided and used for a variety of small businesses. Many of the terraced houses built to house the mill workers are also still standing and occupied. A part of the Scout Moor wind farm, the largest onshore wind farm in England, stands on the distant hill behind the mill.
