London, England, UK 02/03/2023 Extinction Rebellion targets UK Finance's headquarters at Angel Court in protest at corruption in the banking system and how it prioritises profit over people and planet. Six protesters threw pink paint (a concoction of pond dye, water and guar gum) at the windows and covered them with posters of Rishi Sunak saying This Bill Will Kill. Later all six were arrested. The action coincides with passing of the Financial Services and Markets (FSM) Bill through the committee stage in Parliament and in its current form includes no environmental protections.
