Locomotive 'The Duchess of Sutherland' with 'The Cumbrian Mountaineer', a Saturday steam special on the Settle-Carlisle railway. The train is seen at Blea Moor, after leaving the Ribblehead Viaduct bound for Carlisle. The strong back-winds carried the steam high into the air. Ingleborough peak is seen behind the train. Many people turned out to see this popular locomotive, as The Duchess of Sutherland, built in 1938, is now based in the south of England and has not been seen on the Settle-Carlisle railway line for some years.
