Jan. 01, 1957 - ''The convict no prison can hold'' arrives in Britain: 36-years old George Leroy Matthews, who is known as the convict no prison can hold - arrived at Plymouth yesterday in the liner Reina Del Pacific. Matthews, a ethnic burgler, has been sent to Britain by the Bermuda authorities to complete a ten years sentenced imposed in 1949. He escaped five times from Hamilton, Bermuda, goal and three times from a New York goal. Photo shows George Leroy Matthews, is escorted from the liner by two policemen, after his arrival at Plymouth yesterday.
