It is 80 years since the return of Jesus from Medinaceli to Madrid, from Geneva, after the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939. Upon his return, the image was taken in procession from the monastery of the Incarnation to its current location in the basilica of Jesus of Medinaceli. For this reason, and within the context of the Extraordinary Missionary month convened by Pope Francis, the image of Jesus of Medinaceli will make an extraordinary processional exit through the streets of Madrid.
