McNair, Washington, D.C., Feb. 8, 2023. The Joint Staff's J7/9 Exercises and Coalition Affairs directorate utilizes partnerships across society, including exercises, civil affairs operations and humanitarian assistance activities, to improve the capacity of both USSOUTHCOM and partner nations to quickly respond to emergencies and neutralize threat networks. The J7/9 strives to develop a highly trained workforce that is focused on creative and cooperative solutions. As a result, the J7/9 strengthens partnerships between the U.S. government, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, businesses, academia and all elements of civil society. During the visit, Mr. Bostick conducted an office call with IADC Leadership, received an IADC brief, and concluded the visit with a tour of the campus.
