Mrs Sterry and her two children visit Mr Sterry, who works as an assistant crew cook on the 'Bloemfontain Castle' motor vessel. Mrs Sterry asked the Daily Mirror to photograph her husband with the ship in the background, as he was due to be transferred when the ship was sold to the Greeks. The Daily Mirror went one better and invited the family to visit the ship and toy fair at Kensington High Street.
