Tbilisi, Georgia - May 22, 2018: The Bridge of Peace stretches 150 metres (490 ft) over the Kura River was constructed by the City of Tbilisi to create a contemporary design feature connecting Old Tbilisi with the new district. It was opened in May 2010 and designed by the Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. The bridge is designed to resemble a marine animal has a curvy steel and glass canopy top which shimmers with an interactive light display at night, generated by thousands of white LEDs. The lights are on from sundown until sunset. In the background is a communications tower.
