Scotland to host inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships in 2023. The vision of UCI President, David Lapparient, a new multi-disciplinary cycling event will bring together 13 existing UCI cycling World Championships into one event to be held every four years, commencing in Glasgow and Scotland in 2023. Members of the British and Scottish Cycling teams in attendance, along with UK Sport chair Dame Katherine Grainger and others. The Championships will take place at venues in Glasgow and across Scotland over the two weeks in August 2023, has been awarded in recognition of the country's proven expertise in delivering world-class and ground breaking events.
