Gardai (police) have named the newborn dead baby, found on Bells Beach in County Dublin, as 'Baby Bell'. They have also appealed again to the mother of the infant to come forward in confidence and get medical help. The baby was discovered on Saturday morning by a beach cleaner, partly covered in the sand, in Balbriggan, county Dublin. The case has brought back memories in Ireland of similar cases in the 1980's of young women giving birth and losing their babies in secret, due to the fear of scandal. Photo shows flowers and a painted angel at the scene. Photos: Eamonn Farrell/RollingNews.ie
