Al Arreola, World War II and 100th BG veteran, who passed away Feb. 1, 2023. Arreola was a 351st Bomb Squadron ball turret gunner based at Thorpe Abbotts during World War II and completed 35 missions during his time there. Airmen from today’s 351st Air Refueling Squadron performed a heritage patching ceremony at the former home of the 100th BG, and remembered the veteran and the legacy he and other World War II veterans have left behind.
