A beautiful rural location, in the Lune Valley, just north of Lancaster, Lancashire, England. Wray is full of lively local characters and groups, - and hosts many local events, such as the scarecrow festival and maggot races. Wray is also the first wireless hotspot village in Lancashire and lit the first rural fibre to the home in the UK. There will be some wacky scarecrows helping the jubilant villagers of Wray celebrate their annual country fair this year, all competing for their places on the winners’ rostrum… Wray Fair is now an integral part of the ever-popular Wray Scarecrow Festival, one of the ‘cultural’ highlights of the Lune Valley’s calendar. Visitors flock from far and wide to wander round the picturesque Lancashire village of Wray and enjoy the scarecrows which take over each spring. Cruella de Vil is a character created by Dodie Smith as the main antagonist of her 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians and in Walt Disney Pictures
