A Tesla Model S spontaneously caught fire recently on a Los Angeles street. On June 17, 2018, Tesla CEO Elon Musk emailed company employees that an unnamed employee admitted to sabotaging the company's Fremont, California plant causing extensive damage. The employee made unauthorized changes to the computer code of the company's manufacturing operating system, and he also exported large amounts of highly sensitive company data to unknown third parties.
