As part of our Safer Greener Healthier campaign, we’re working with Spin on electric (e) scooter trials. All six schemes in Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Clacton and Colchester have now launched. One of the key aims of the trials is to provide a socially-distanced and safe way for people to travel thereby reducing the number of short car journeys made. Spin has previously run a trial in Milton Keynes which resulted in 63 per cent of e-scooter riders used an e-scooter instead of driving.
