UPHILL is two miles from Weston, sheltered by a considerable num- ber of fine timber trees, with an abrupt hill rising on its northern side, on the summit of which, stands the parish church ; the side of the hill towards the village is covered with smooth turf, but the opposite side terminates in pre- cipitous rocks, reaching nearly to the beach. The ride over the sands from Weston is very pleasant at spring tides.
