Chinese actress Huo Siyan poses at an event one day before the opening of the Le Petit Theatre Dior exhibition in Chengdu city, southwest Chinas Sichuan province, 30 May 2014. Dior has announced the first stop of a new travelling exhibition, Le Petit Theatre Dior, will run May 31st until June 20th at the Chengdu IFS mall. The exhibition of miniature clothes is inspired by The Theatre of Fashion, a 1945 exhibition in Paris that was an ode to the glory of French Haute Couture after the war and presented miniature versions of creations designed by the greatest couturiers of the time. Christian Diorwas working at the time for Lucien Lelong, the couturier behind this project, and is believed to have helped make some of the outfits presented. That was just two years before he would create the New Look with his first Haute Couture presentation in 1947.
