Yutong (officially Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles, especially electric buses, headquartered in Zhengzhou, Henan. Yutong also has businesses in construction machinery, real estate, and other investments. As of 2016 it was the largest bus manufacturer in the world by sales volume. Yutong has four manufacturing bases: conventional buses, new energy buses, specialized vehicles, parts and components, and has the single largest bus manufacturing plant in the world.[citation needed] As of 2018, Yutong has a complete lineup of 5m-18m vehicles consisting of over 140 series of buses and coaches. In 2017, its sales volume of large and medium-sized buses reached 67, 268 units. Among them 24, 865 units are new energy buses. It has been operating in Europe for over five years and in the UK since 2017. It shares the same driveline as all other Yutong electric buses sold in the UK as well as a further 130, 000 Yutong electric buses worldwide. It is available in either single or twin door configurations and is ideal for provincial bus operators or car park operators. It can be fitted with extensive luggage racking for airport use. Fitted with 422kWh batteries, the vehicles are capable of daily operational range of over 370kms on a single charge subject to their specific operational conditions.
