October 2018: Anti-fracking protesters continued their protest against Cuadrilla as the company begins to frack the wells at their exploratory shale gas site beside Preston New Road, Little Plumpton near Blackpool. Two protesters locked on to a device in the road at Wensley's farm who leased the land to Cuadrilla. A large crowd of anti-fracking protesters gathered in the sunshine outside the Cuadrilla shale gas fracking site. Despite losing a legal challenge in the Royal Courts of Justice to prevent Cuadrilla fracking due to locals safety concerns, campaigners continue to protest outside the site.
