Berlin, Olympic Stadium grounds. Tall Towers & damaged Olympic Bell from the Bell Tower is inscribed with Olympic Rings, an eagle, the year 1936, and the Brandenburg Gate. The Olympic Bell fell 77 metres and cracked when the Bell Tower was demolished in 1947. It now serves a memorial to victims of war and violence. The tall towers around the stadium grounds represent the ‘great German tribes’ – Bavarian, Franconian, Swabian, Frisian, Saxon and Prussian. In Nazi ‘legend’ the Tribes represented a glorious past and preserved the pure blood heritage of the Nordic Master Race
