History: The supply of large National Socialist construction sites by local quarry owners drew the attention of the SS to the granite deposits in Flossenbuerg. 1938 The construction of the forced labour camp begins. By April 1945, 100, 000 prisoners had passed through the camp or one of its nearly 90 satellite camps.
