Arne Larsson, 1915-2001 known as the world's first person to receive an artificial cardiac pacemaker. The pacemaker was implanted by heart surgeon Åke Senning in 1958. The pacemaker was manufactured by Rune Elmqvist.Arne lived for another forty-three years and during that time went through twenty-six pacemakers. Arne pictured with two different types of pacemakers.
