ANZAC “Answering the Call” memorial on the platform of the Maldon railway station, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1884, the historic Railway Station served a vital role in supporting the gold mining industry and the economic development of the town and district in general. It was closed 1976 and then reopened in the 1980’s and today the Victorian Goldfields Railway runs regular steam trains along the branch line from Maldon to Castlemaine.
