Dry stone wall builder, David Hannaford builds walls with nothing but stones and no mortar or binders, mainly with local granite, which he splits off large boulders found on Dartmoor. This is an ancient craft, practiced for thousands of years, mainly as a way of making field boundaries to enclose farm animals. Pictured is an old dry stone wall with well rooted vegetation.
