A view of Zakrzowek lake in Krakow. Zakrzowek lake was created in 1990 after flooding an old limestone quarry . It consists of two tanks connected by an isthmus . The banks of the lagoon are one of the favorite places of recreation for the inhabitants of Krakow, however the bath in the lagoon is now prohibited due to the risk of drowning.
