A five-foot long catfish nicknamed Hannibal the Cannibal which has been "wreaking havoc" in a country lake has been caught by the Environment Agency. * Officials from the agency said the 15lb beast was a Wels catfish Europe's largest freshwater fish, and a species which was "worse than Jaws" in the amount of damage it did to eco-systems. Hannibal regurgitated 57 fish when it was captured a normal British pike would be expected to bring up just five or six. Hannibal has a huge belly and three quarters of his length is tail, has now been re-homed at the Sea Life Centre in Brighton.
