1950s, historical, the English swimmer Judy Grinham on televison. Grinham won the 100-metre backstroke at the 1956 Olympic Games, the first British swimmer to win a swimming gold medal since 1924. In 1958 she was the British Sportswoman of the year, having become the first woman in any sport to win Olympic, European and Commonwealth gold medals.
