1940's New York street scene showing the towering Woolworth Building, designed by architect Cass Gilbert. Its location is 233 Broadway in Manhattan, New York City. It was planned by F. W. Woolworth, the founder of the store brand of the same name as headquarters for his company. Construction started in 1910 and the building officially opened on April 24th 1913.
