[ 1900s Japan - Yotsubashi Bridges, Osaka ] — Yotsubashi Bridges (四ツ橋) in Osaka. The four wooden bridges were located where the Nagahorigawa (長堀川) and Nishi-Yokoborigawa (西横堀川) canals crossed, creating a very scenic spot. The wooden bridges were replaced with modern ones in 1908 (Meiji 41) to accommodate Osaka's new streetcar system. 20th century vintage postcard.
