12 August 2020, Saxony, Chemnitz: Judicial officers are removing the handcuffs from a man accused of double murder at Chemnitz Regional Court. The accused is said to have strangled two brothers with an electric cable in their apartment in the summer of 1995. The victim and perpetrator were Vietnamese. The background of the crime was illegal cigarette trade and protection racket. After the murder, the man had left for the Czech Republic, where he had lived under false identity.
