A terra-cotta mural decorates the new subway entrance on 135 William Street, for the Fulton Street Transit Center in Lower Manhattan in New York, on Monday, August 1, 2011. As part of the reconfiguring of the transportation for Lower Manhattan the new station will end the inconvenience to transit customers by adding additional access to the Fulton Street station. The new entrance features the reinstallation of a restored terra-cotta mural and iron gate salvaged from the Marine Grill in the McAlpin Hotel. The mural was created by Fred Dana Marsh in 1912 showing the steamer Clermont and is part of several other murals to be installed. (© Richard B. Levine)
