A model 1715 cuirass for enlisted men,Slightly ridged,hammered iron breastplate,lateral iron strap hooks.Only fragments of the original black paint remain.Renewed straps,using old material from the Kassel theatre properties,new red leather border-trim and linen liner,the inside lower edge with Nuremberg maker's marks(shield with "W.K.& S.1,18").Weight 2,320 g.This cuirass comes from an order of 9,000 pieces commisioned by Frederick William I in 1715,originally with a leather liner.It presumably entered the collection of G.Petschke as part of a 19,Additional-Rights-Clearences-Not Available
