Memento mori of a skeleton with cloven hooves on central panel of the soffit (curved ceiling) between the late C15th (c 1495) oak rood screen and loft inside St Eilian's church, Llaneilian, Anglesey. Figure gestures towards a scroll bearing the motto "Colyn Angua yw Pechod" (the Sting of Death is Sin) 1 Cor. XV, 56, as it appears in William Morgan's Welsh Bible of 1588. Support beams are carved with pierced vine-scrolls with grapes and cresting.
