Their brands such as Nivella and Vogue were well-known products during the interwar period of the 1930s. When nylon was introduced in 1939, however, it took time for the product to spread due to the ongoing Second World War. The factory's own production of nylon stockings and later nylon trousers took off in the early 1950s and the company developed the nylon stocking and acquired new machines for the manufacture. Malmö Strumpfabrik was operated until January 1992 when the last shift stamped out. The factory was colloquially known as Strumpan. Here is a picture from the production where the nylon stockings are pre-shaped on the shapes of women's legs. They are exposed to steam to fix and the shape and meshes are precisely executed so that they will not be able to shrink. 1942
