The old post box, dating from the reign of Queen Victoria, set into the wall of the village store and post office in the East Sussex village of Glynde. Set below the letter box is a small door for the postman to empty the box. The box is still in use today. The letters VT, set either side of the royal crown, stand for Victoria Regina, Queen Victoria. This box possibly dates from c1857
