The normal sanctions which follow when MPs deceive the Commons are unlikely to apply to Hoon if, as has been alleged, he has given 'misleading' evidence to the Intelligence and Security Committee, parliamentary experts said. An apparent leak to London's Evening Standard of the Committee's report, claims that Mr Hoon misled the Committee in its inquiry into Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
