RM2PW9W2F–A 1930s greetings card produced for members of 201 Flying Boat Squadron, Royal Air Force. The card is decorated with the squadron’s badge which consists of a seagull with the Latin motto, “Hic et Ubique” (Here and Everywhere). The card is bound with a ribbon in the colours of the RAF’s necktie. The squadron was originally formed in October 1914 as No.1 Squadron of the Royal Naval Air Service. It was renumbered as 201 on the formation of the RAF on 1 April 1918 and disbanded in December 1919. It was reformed at RAF Calshot, Hampshire on 1 January 1929 as a flying boat unit.
