RME0RJBN–Nov. 11, 1959 - First Pictures Of Soviet Rocket Launching Rats Are Weightless In The Outer Space: The famous Laika - Soviet original 'space' dog has followers in the form of the dogs ''Snow-Drop'' and ''Courageous'' (In Russian Snethinka and Ctbazhnaya) and number of nameless groups of rats and mice. This picture taken from the new Soviet Documentary film shows - the inside of the rocket's container when taken unto a great altitude. The rats are in s prorated state of complete weightlessness - and re automatically photographed during the flight.

This picture taken from a new Soviet Documentary film shows the launching of the Soviet Rocket. A stream of fire and smoke bursts forth from the rocket's nozzle and a cafening roar of the motor. Puffs of smoke hides the rockets lower part and the rocket rises slowly from the earth.
