This fence is being put up by property developer Meadows, who own the grounds after their planning application was rejected by Southwark Council. Relations with the DHFC and Meadows have deteriorated rapidly. Meadows have sent a £121,000 bill for back rent, and trademarked DHFC and Dulwich Hamlet Football Club. They have sent a cease and desist notice and locked DHFC out of the grounds. This perimeter fence is part of the measures put in place to intimidate the club and remove them from their historic home.
