RFJCPX3F–Megalosaurus is genus extinct meat-eating dinosaurs, theropods, from Middle Jurassic period in Earth’s history,166 million years ago.It lived in what is now southern England. The first dinosaur fossil ever found,as long ago as 1676,was probably fragment thigh bone that belonged to Megalosaurus. This animal was medium-sized theropod,6 to 7 m long weighing about one tonne.Modern understanding is that megalosaurus may have been covered in downy feathers, particularly along its back belly.

RFM4JB67–Illustration of a giraffatitan dinosaur. Giraffatitan was previously thought to be a species of brachiosaurus (B. brancai) but is now thought to belong to a separate genus. These animals were sauropods, four-legged, plant-eating dinosaurs from the Jurassic period. They reached a maximum length of about 26 metres and weighed up to 40 tonnes. The skeletons of Brachiosaurus and Giraffatitan, although coming from different continents (America and Africa, respectively) look almost identical to the untrained eye, so this picture could represent either animal.

RFPT5HGB–Illustration of the carnivorous dinosaur, Compsognathus. This was a genus of small theropods that lived during the Jurassic period, 150 million years ago, in what is now Europe. Only one species is known, C. longipes. It grew to about one metre in length, similar to a turkey, and weighed up to 3.5 kg. This slender, lightly built animal probably fed on small vertebrates such as lizards, and may also have eaten insects. Some paleontologists have speculated that it may have been covered in feathery integuments, but this interpretation assumes otherwise.
