After the government nationalized heavy industry right after WWII by 1947 over 3 000 000 Ethnic German from Bohemian and Moravian border areas known as Sudetenland were forcibly deported to Germany. Their farm land, homes, stores, small factories farm animals and personal property was confiscated by the government without any right to compensation. All this property was then distributed to Czechoslovak citizens.
