RMRFT58T–Chatsworth House is a stately home in the Derbyshire Dales, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. The English Baroque and Italianate country house is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire and home to the Cavendish family since 1549. Standing on the east bank of the River Derwent, the house isset in expansive parkland and backed by wooded, rocky hills rising to heather moorland. The 18th Century saw great changes to the house and gardens with a more natural look, designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
