Vienna watched with surprised when Austria's new air force appeared in public for the first time at Aspern airfield, and dark grey monoplane bombers and swift fighters soared and dived over the heads of large crowds. The new air force is still illegal under the end of war St Germain Treaty. It has been built in the last two years.
