SUNDAY 31st July 2016. FPV drone racer pilot, Luke Bannister at the prepares for flight prior to racing at the UK drone racing competition, The Queen's Cup. Gary Kent won the Queen's cup competition - the first time it has been awarded to FPV Drone Racing. The UK’s oldest sporting cup and most prestigious air-racing prize was awarded to the sport that contrasts mostly with that heritage: FPV drone racing. The event held 30th - 31st July 2016 at Popham Airfield, Hampshire, saw 54 pilots vie for the top prize alongside a qualifying place for the Drone World event to be held in Hawaii.
