There are many species of Owl butterflies - a large butterfly that can have a wingspan of up to 8 inches. The underside of an Owl butterfly are large "eye-spots" which look like an owl's face. These "eye-spots" are used to scare away predators. When the butterfly open its wings, some Owl butterflies are brown in color and some are blue. The Owl Butterfly's habitat are the rainforests in Central and South America.
