The exhibition illustrates the progress in telephonic equipment through the ages. Keystone Photo Shows: Audrie Cooper of Lewisham with the oldest telephone in the exhibition. It the French ADER telephone with carbon pencil transmitter. The wooden diaphragm has been replaced by a platic one to show the carbon pencil.
