Malta Island, Gozo, the ruins of Ggantija Temples (3600-3000 BC), the megalithic complex was erected in three stages by the community of farmers and herders inhabiting the small island of Gozo. Rituals of life and fertility seem to have been practised within the Temples more than five thousand years ago.
