Dubai. 18th November 2013: Springing out of the desert - visitors to the 2013 Dubai Air Show take a look at a scale model of the new Al Maktoum International Airport, which will be better known as Dubai World Central (DWC). When the development is complete it will cover 140 square kilometres and include the airport, an exhibition centre, golf district, flight academy and city complete with private and commercial premises. Situated almost mid-way between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, it will eventually handle 12 million tons of cargo and 160 million passengers a year.
