Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the bridge is built over the Avon Gorge and the River Avon, linking Clifton in Bristol to Leigh Woods in North Somerset. Opened in 1864, the bridge features two towers and 81 matching vertical wrought-iron rods that hold the bridge deck.
